I wasnt up for an upgrade either but my local sales rep told me that i could upgrade for the 1 year contract price which was 319.99 and was still eligable for the 50 mail in rebate, dont know if that is something everybody could do or if my rep was just trying to hook me up for the sale??

I got mine for 99 bucks. The phone started out at 149.99 (ne2). Then I received the 50.00 rebate instantly (don't ask me how, but I didn't complain!) For that price, I can put up with the few bugs that come with the phone. The updates will come sooner than later.

I got mine for 99 bucks! I got the 149.99 price using the VIP program (with the VIP program, you can get a new phone every year) and the verizon rep gave me an instant 50.00 rebate! (don't ask me how, but I didn't complain! With this price for this phone, I won't complain about the bugs. I can wait for the updates. The will come sooner than later.

Hmmm, Im thinking the rep I dealt with sucked.

My contract is up on January 31st. I asked him if I could get the NE2 upgrade now and he said verizon couldnt do it. He even called customer service and they also said no.


I ended up paying 300$ since I was up for an annual renewal.


Im still pissed they wouldnt give me the NE2 price since my contract is up in 2 months.

I had to pay the $500 + whatever tax there was. I had a Voyager since summer and I had to pay full price for that one too. in my opinion the voyager is a horrible phone, not worth the money, but the storm was worth the money. i LOVE it!
