I am new to having a BB but I have not seen that much of a change from the original OS, Iguess it was 75 to the new .148 that I just downloaded from BB.
Anyone want to tell me what I am not seeing
My phone operates more fluidly than ever before. Memory holds up much better also. I don't know all of the ins and outs but the stability its a big +1 imo.
I've been upgrading all along with leaked releases, so it's been steady improvement. But .148 is light years ahead of .75 in terms of speed and fixes to bugs.
Have you tried pulling your battery now that you've upgraded? Sometimes that helps...you might see further improvement if you do a reboot.
I just pulled the battery, but now that you mention it, I did see that the camera was faster and less clunky right away.
good news....I think you'll find that overall the phone is better. In some ways it's not so much the presence of something new and great, but the absence of so many of the stupid bugs and laggy quality of .75
Another thing to consider is that those who have been on .75 have adapted to the limitations of the OS and have structured their use around said limitations.

Its makes my phone run smoother and faster. My video camera never worked...now it works great . The screen doesn't go black when when I go to snap a picture. The volume when playing a song doesn't fluctuate. I also have a lot less lag when typing. And I love the full keyboard in portrait mode.

Camera is MUCH faster and doesn't black out the picture when you take it.
You can now record videos reliably AND you can even play back videos you recorded.
Faster Browser with "go" button and better functionality.
Improved Memory Management.
Improvements to the media player speed and reliability.
Audio Boost fixed.
Copy and Paste improvements.
Faster program opening and closing.
Faster and more reliable screen rotation.
Improved overall stability.
There are MANY other changes, but those are the most noticeable I think.

haha i see you guys are still at it, ive long given up. im just lurking around at the moment because im feeling quite normal now that were all on .148, and tradition has it that after the official something may pop up sometime soon...
Its still not stable. Way to much lag on the browser and typing is still painful. It is quicker but not anywhere near other smart phones.

i disagree...the improvements hvae been on all fronts. everything is faster. keyboard lag is barely there, and to play devli's advocate, even curve, WE and bold all have keyboard lag and freeze from time to time. so what we're experiencing with .148 is a lot closer to what other users experience with their devices.
and you don't even use the phone regularly so your input is skewed.
