because apple's interface is aesthetically pleasing and intuitive?
Aesthetically pleasing maybe, but intuitive... A lot of people toss that term around, but don't really understand what it means. Apple interfaces are usually pretty consistent, and consistency is part of what it means to be intuitive, but it's not enough on its own.
But who cares who makes what themes? If you don't like it, don't use it. Seems pretty simple.
Apple stuff just "looks" cool! :)
For sure i think its great they make themes. Its what separates everyone / everything. But i just find it weird that people buy a Storm, and change its face to a Iphone..
And if i were to leave it alone, there wouldn't be anything to "rave / rant" about.... making this forum section pointless.
You don't need to understand it (though I understand the obsession of curiosity all too well) just accept that some people like it.
And this subforum is largely pointless. The number of people who have legitimate complaints vs. the number of people who just want to whine and complain to get attention is pretty overwhelming in favor of the latter. Enough so that we don't really need a separate subforum if we were to somehow eliminate the people who just want attention.
Because they make pretty stuff. I don't find it intuitive at all and I hate my Mac at work, but it's still the smarts of a Blackberry with a different look. I don't understand the "then buy an iPhone!!!" argument. If I wanted one I'd get one. I want a BlackBerry. Doesn't mean it has to have the graphics of one too. It just needs to work like one.

What is god?
The beauty of choice ..
iphone envy.
Haha well. enjoy. I guess i have been put in my place.
People buy their phones and have the choice to cuztomize them, dont mean you have too, ive done it and i like the look of an apple theme personally, so if you dont like them then dont buy/download them, easy as that
Didn't you just complain about bringing up Apple stuff on a BlackBerry forum?
Don't add more fuel to the fire.
Just because you don't want something on your phone doesn't mean others feels the same.
Be happy you have the luxury of being able to add an Apple theme to your BlackBerry.
Because Apple users Don't have the luxury of being able to apply BlackBerry themes to their phone without jumping through hoops.
Easy... yes i did. I was on the themes page and say like, 5 posts in a row of all different i phone themes, and i was already in a ranting mood so i decided to make this thread. I actually tried to delete it but i didnt know how! And i even admitted above that "i have been put in my place" ...
I agree with all my heart. I also enjoy agreeing with people instead of trying to feel superior to them and being a complete **** about everything.
Dunno... I just bought the IVista 2 Theme :D
How does it work?
ive heard it slows the phone to a crawl
If it makes you feel any better, there is a Blackberry Storm theme available for the iPhone.
Mine isn't crawling. It is a heavier theme definately, weighing in at a little over 1 mb. My only issues are aesthetic ones, like they didn't skin the default folder icons and the font chosen can be hard to read at times
I'm a Mac user, have been for 3yrs now. I didn't find it necessarily "intuitive" when I began using one. But that's because I was used to doing things in a certain way in Windows and it took some time to
unlearn those ways. I think apples aesthetics are certainly a cut above windows which is why people want to emulate a Mac. Even before I used a Mac I had skinned my windows to look like osx. Doesn't seem odd to me that people want the same with the storm.
