    i went to turn my gps off today to preserve battery life and i accidentally clicked on gps data source... and this showed up.... can any one tell me what this is

    Looks like you're connected to another phone (maybe via BT), and the Storm is asking if you want to use that phone as your GPS source.

    Do you own a Samsung SGH-A827? Do you have BT on?

    1. humor me and double check that BT is off (and while you're at it, double check BT security options to no autoconnect)

    yes i know it is the phone... but why is it on my phone under gps

    that phone is no where near me

    and i have bluetooth off

    Because at one time it was probably near you and your Storm bonded with it. Tighten up your Bluetooth security.

    Find the phone under blue tooth options, highlight the device and choose menu > delete.

    i dont have any devices listed under bluetooth options... my bluetooth has never been turned on
    i had no need for it
