So you would think RIM would have made the S2 a fully compatible smartphone, I couldn't even go online to watch nbc mobiles hockey game on the phone, but my buddy was watching on his PRE.. Come on RIM step it up here.

If you want to watch Hockey, stay home and watch. If you just want to pick up chicks because ya got a "cool phone" you should get a life.

Sorry noodle. Apparently if you want your smartphone to do more than message and talk, you need to go get a "cool" smartphone. If you have a life and are not home but want to watch a game, your only options are to get a "cool phone" and be scrutinized because your went with a non-BB phone "to pick up chicks " OR stop everything you're doing and go home.

Never talk to a fanboi about anything other than what he's loyal to....

Yeah hopefully they are coming out with OS6 and the better browser soon. I don't do many games or stuff but I would like an update.

I would have to agree. I'm surprised at some of the road blocks we hit with this phone. Have you tried opera mini 5 or bolt? They seem to have some more ability then the native browser.

Have you tried Bolt on your S2? I found it to be geared toward non-touch devices, like my Tour. Clicking on links was a chore, and it would load pages to 20% and get stuck there for a while and then finally finish. I removed it within an hour of installing.

I understand under 607, OM5 has issues with screen rotation. I'd say for now, the native browser is the best of the worst for S2.

I love it when light weight BB users think they have half a clue what harecore users go through on a daily basis. Like 5 minutes to type and correct this message on my S2 because I travel 4+ hours a day. And this is what I have available. I know get a job closer to home. Get a job that doesn't require a BB. I guess that would be easier than closed minded knuckle draggers getting a clue. But if you send me your address I'll shoot you out a dollar to get you started.

there is a quick fix for keyboard lag when that starts to happen. I am not defending the fact that happens but...

    options/memory

choose blackberry button, repair, device memory, click yes or no doesnt matter. Boom keyboard lag fixed. There should really be an app that does this for us, but it will completely fix keyboard lag. Daily batter pulls help too.

anyways, I would imagine this is the reason for your issues with typing as I have a hard time when my phone starts to lag too, but this fixes it up every time.

oh just to add: opera mini is great for most things, I skipped 607 because of the bbm groups thing. 517 is just fine. Also, I kept bolt because I like the way it renders. It does get stuck like he said at times but sometimes it is a great choice for browsing.

Its not lag as much as it is:type a word, try to edit word, backspace to erase word, retype, rinse and repeat.

Ok, 1 I don't need a phone to help me pick up chicks, if you think holding a BB gets a girls attention well you may as well put a $100 on your hand. 2 I was at school 1 hr from home and had to wait for my ride, would be nice to have that option available. I am saying for BB S2 to be it multimedia touch device, they do can not even have a good web browser that can jump through hoops. I guess I will have to get a "cool phone" and chuck this BB off a bridge. Oh and don't think because you can post here it makes you smart or important, this is supposed to be a community for Q&A..

I agree 100% and use the native browser the majority of the time. I tend to use OM5 or Bolt for larger pages or downloads.
