I know people have had trouble with their storm 1 getting warm... but has anyone had their Storm 2 get pretty warm on the back? seems like when I have a few apps running it gets warm. not sure if it did it before .607 I only had it a week before I upgraded the OS

Mine does, doesn't seem to affect it at all. I have MeterBerry installed and there has been a few times where the temp has exceeded 105 degrees.

Yes I noticed this also. I'm wondering if .607 has some kind of clock speed accelerator included within it.

With my Storm, it hasn't been any particular OS that's happened on. In fact, I don't think it's got above 100 degrees yet with .607...

Mine has, but I noticed it before .607 so the OS is not the cause.

I think the S2 just runs hot. Mine has always gotten warm when using it even with .320. I think its the metal back transferring the heat from the battery since there's not much insulation there.

Mine varies. Since so much has been going on with the OS update, I'm not yet sure what may--or may not--be attributable to .607. I've seen (using Meterberry) my temperatures all over the map. Currently, my phone has been connected to my computer for the past two hours and the temp is 87F. When out in the desert for any length of time, I've seen it as high as 109.

Mine has been perfectly fine until today when it suddenly ran hot and the battery ran down over an hour. In the past it could go 48 hours. I took the battery out for 30 min and rebooted and now its doing perfectly again.

I'm running .517. Sometimes when I listen to Slacker radio for hours while the phone is still plugged into the wall, the back gets warm...

The reason that the phone gets warm/hot is from: a) moderate to heavy usage of it, b) apps running in the background or c) trying to search for the network.

Mine gets warm after about 20 minutes of constant radio usage. No worries.

Mine was getting hot this morning. Like...too hot to hold.

I plugged it up and left it alone and it was still smokin'.

Concluded it was the battery and got a swap.

    So far so good.

Mine will sometimes get hot when I'm charging it in the car and streaming Pandora at the same time. Like 112 degrees hot, but its never seemed to have any ill affect on it.

That being said, I bought a $5 "OEM" battery off eBay and now that battery stays at 77 degrees...always exactly 77 degrees. I had like threw days of readings every thirty minutes all at 77.

Mine always hovers between 80-90 degrees according to MeterBerry; no complaints here.

I'm on .517 now and I run at about 75 - 85 degrees. However, when I was on .607 I noticed the phone would get real hot and reach up to 95 - 105 degress.

I don't know how hot is too hot. Anyone? (Ok... I'm talking about the phone here)
