RIM lowered the quality of color gradient, aka color banding to improve speed and response time, to avoid lag basically...the screens are in color, just not as much detail and quality in stuff like wallpapers and themes...doesn't impact media

I could care less about whether or not its official- verizon has more or less shot themselves in the foot in the P.R. Deptartment due to their incessant resistance to giving their stamp approval on an O.S......

...But I look forward to the leak. If its astonishingly better than .132 I will upgrade. Short of that I will stick with .132.

    Haha, same here

You know, if we don't end up getting much help, update wise, and then the Storm 2 drops and the Storm one becomes "obsolete"...

The Tour DOES look pretty sweet

I am getting use to being let down by verizon! This is far from satisfying customers. Think of this kind of treatment in any other situation? Broke the golden rule: bought the first model year before they could work out the bugs. There will be no storm 2 on my horizon. Bottom line. Being brand loyal or format loyal is fine, but i would say they got the storm half right.

If it has been 'punted' out to Verizon, do you think it will also have been simultaneously sent out to other service providers of both the 9500 & 9530?
These builds are build for both the 9500 and 9530, and RIM posts it for each carrier. It just depends on when they get it off the site and start testing it.

I think that's why he said it's in the a different stage than the lab/networking.

for our discussion, we are talking about "friendly user testing" exclusively, since nobody knows what is going on at lab/network testing...

    and they always have newer...

but thanks for stopping by to discuss the topic with us, CX!!!
