Is there a way to view contacts from a backup file on your pc without the phone being plugged in?

edit: eh, you have to pay for it, anyone know a better one?

could the bb device simulator work? somehow load your backups into a virtual 9530? ive never worked with the sim so i dont know how it works.

as a last resort, you can try to get another berry (friend, coworker, family, buy one and return it later?) load your contacts on there, and then use google sync or a similar service to make a copy of them you can access outside of your phone.

all the IPD is, is the BB backup file type, all you need is an app that reads that file type.
