Hey guys. I was one of the people who posted on Poynt. Initial impressions may be found here: http://forums.crackberry.com/f134/ha...-poynt-150814/

Anyways, I just basically went through the same things except I threw in a video to show you guys the interface. Enjoy.

I do not know when it will be released, but from what I heard, a month or two. I'm thinking they're holding out for the application store to be released.

I've had this program for almost a week now. I didn't sign up to test it or anything. Anybody should be able to get it now!

I grabbed it when someone posted the link, I have used it at least twice a day since then. The interface is slick and gps actually works. I have deleted beyond411 since I got this.

No. It is a closed beta. Fifteen people were allowed to do it initially.

I grabbed it as well when the link was posted and it works like a charm....no issues with it at all yet...though would love to see them integrate weather and some other things in there as well to take advantage of the gps.

    Hi there Pabongka!

Poynt does indeed utilize the GPS chip on the Storm. The unfortunate thing is the Storm for Verizon comes with GPS disabled by default. To enable GPS, from your home screen go to Options->Advanced Options->GPS and ensure GPS Services is set to Location ON.

Thank you. Was stating that I thought it would be great to incorporate weather into program because it does use GPS. Really enjoy the app.
