i downloaded the software and installed it but i don't know where it is. I opened my device manager and tried to find the update but couldn't. Any help?

Try turning off internet access (disable your network card) and usually DM will pick it up.

If not, you can go to Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader directory and run loader.exe directly

i tried turning off the internet, and deleting that file, and running the .exe program directly and it still doesn't find any upgrades.

when i'm installing the software it says i'm installing blackberry 9500. Is that right or no?
