It's too bad that this has turned into a testosterone-ridden, head-butting contest... this thread could have contained some good conversation about what people prefer in an OS and why.

"The people that use .75 by choice and say that it works perfectly are the same people that are still happy with cassette tapes and rabbit ear antennas. Afraid of changing or breaking something that works... but doesn't work as good as what's out there." <--- This was said by someone in this thread... would have quoted it the correct way, but they changed their minds pretty quickly about making this statement. Probably because that person is wrong.

As far as the audio speaker bug that is supposed to affect everyone's phone on .75, I have yet to experience that bug. Pandora is an app that plays through the audio speakers-- and it works just fine. I play Word Mole once in a while-- that has sound and it works just fine. And before anyone mentions it, I do not have something like the Light Saber app on my phone (I'm an English major and a wife/mom--not a jedi), so if it is apps like that where the bug shows up, I'm not concerned. (And I am in no way making fun of Star Wars or anyone who enjoys that app-- just trying to lighten up the conversation a bit & add some humor.)

I have remained on .75 because it has been extremely stable for me (and my husband as well). I have absolutely no complaints about it. Am I one of the lucky ones? Could be. Some of the cosmetic bugs alone in some of the newer/leaked builds would drive me nuts.

.141 and it's the best experience BY FAR. And I've had the same iterations of hybrids and leaks everyone else has from .75 onward.

battery life has been vastly improved.

and that person is RIGHT, btw. welcome to the era of dual phase tech stuff - stuff that's UPGRADEABLE *or* a throwout. It used to be only throwout... I know people that have thrown out their blu-ray players because they didn't know it could be updated. Exact same situation applies to the storm. they want the latest tech, but don't want to burn their time ensuring it's updated.

So everyone wants web, wifi, e-mails, MMS, SMS, IM, GPS... you gotta set expectations. These people are holding a multifunction computer in their hands, and it's subjected to the same updates... saying that's wrong... is just wrong.

You can see in my sig which hybrid beta I am running, I am much happier with this hybrid than any other beta or hybrid I have ran. And I have ran all the betas and several hybrids.

I don't think I could stand to go back to .75 if I had too, waaaayyyy too slow for me!

.141/5.0 hybrid is the most stable OS I've used. I can't imagine the horror of being on .75.

I completely agree with the OP. .75 works extremely well for me, except the camera and video camera. All other functions are smooth. I have not upgraded because as I lurk and read the posts, it strikes me that there is at least one bug in each and every leak that causes a key and basic function of the device not to work properly. Now why would I want to trade in an OS that works extremely well for one that has a major flaw? To each his or her own. I'm not a loser, a dork or a cassette tape user just because my Storm runs well on .75. I also have better things to do with my time than tinker endlessly with my Storm. It works. I'm happy. End of story.

4.7.0.141 -- and I'm using StormLock so the screen locking bug does not matter.

Well I am running .132 now, but used .075 since I bought the Storm in December. I kept holding off upgrading because I "feared" (eh um) trying it. I could've kicked myself for waiting so long. I have fallen deeply in love with my Storm again. My husband just got a Storm that we have not upgraded yet, and I swear, every time I use his I feel like chucking it across the room. Had no idea how different it felt until I switched back and forth for different reasons. No regrets!

I started with .65 then went to .75 then had .76 i think, which was nothing noticably different. then i went to .103? was that what it was? then i rocked .113 for a few months and just recently updated to .141 just because i couldn't wait on VZW anymore. still gaining an idea of how it is running on my device....

i was running the same but i seemed to have major mem leak when i put 122 radio in, i then change to 109 radio code and signal seems just as good without the mem leak. Are you having a large mem leak mine would drop from 40 at boot to 30 in less that a hour.

I've tried several of the leaks .113, .132, .141 I have to say that .113 is the best for me. Seems very stable and is much better than .75. I had huge memory and bat leaks on .132 and .141

Yea, thats the thing with leaks. Some of them maximize issues that are minimized in other leaks or official OS's. It's just a matter of what works best for you...

.132. The major reason for the upgrade was that idiotic vibrate setting that would vibrate once then ring anyway when you had a custom ringtone on the number. Got me in more than one work meeting. UI seems much faster too and I have more available memory!

Yea, thats definitely one of the bugs in .75 that worked my nerves. lol. Got me in a meeting the first week I had the phone! lol. I just created a custom profile called "Vibrant Thang" and it works great for me now. lol.
