I got my Storm in Dec and am running .109 and I do love it but frustrated as heck sometimes. Just am wondering that if Verizon does get the Iphone next year, is anyone frustrated/pissed off/disappointed enough with their Storm enough? to get the Iphone???

    Comments????

If the iPhone ever comes to Verizon, I will be first in line to get it.

My girlfriend just got an iPhone and after using it for an extended period of time, I like it a lot better. Once the 3.0 update (with copy/paste, multitasking, mms, video recording) comes out, it will be perfect (after jailbreaking it of course).

Nope, I'm not big on the iPhone's uber cluttered UI, and I take some of the things BBs can do for granted (push, and especially the ability to multitask.)

i think the Iphone is a cool device, but the inability to multitask and no push email makes me wana stick with my storm...for all its little quirks, i really do having such a media friendly phone. i think im staying where i am..on the STORM side!!

Um, if you don't like the battery life on the Storm, I can guaranty you will HATE it on the iPhone. Not only does it have shorter battery life than the Storm, but it's not user replaceable, so you either have to carry a charger around with you all day or one of those external battery packs that attaches to the bottom. At least with the Storm you can just carry an extra standard battery around in case you need it.

Edit: And I bet when they release 3.0 and the extra features the battery life is REALLY gonna take a dump on the iPhone.

Are you talking from experience ? because mine with the iPhone is much different with battery life.

I would be frustrated/pissed off/disappointed enough to get another BB. An iPhone? Maybe.

Yes, from experience. I would say the Storm probably has an extra hour or two of talk time over the iPhone, and that's with the Storm's BT and GPS services turned on. Your iPhone gets better battery life than your Storm? It just shouldn't be that way...lol!

I would like the iPhone to come to Verizon, not for myself, but for my brother.

He is a HUGE Mac Fanboi, and is saving his pennies to buy the new 3.0 when it comes out.

IF the iPhone comes to Verizon, AND I can talk him into leaving ATT, then he and his wife switch to Verizon, and I free up 2 of the 10 slots in my Friends & Family for someone else

I dunno how the IPhone could be worse battery wise. I get no more than 20hrs off of a full charge with MINIMAL use. If I am using the phone a lot, it is done in 12. THAT is ridiculous......

It's tough to say because everyone's idea of "minimal" and a "lot" is different. However, based on my idea of what a "lot" is the iPhone is good for about 8 hours and the Storm is good for 10 or 12. What I consider minimal the Storm will go at least 48 hours...not sure how you could only get 20 unless your battery is defective. Still, it's not just about how long it lasts, but how convenient it is to get battery power back. Like I said, I carry a spare battery for the Storm in my key case, so I have it if I need it (rarely). With the iPhone we have to carry the charger cable everywhere it goes. You're SOL if you run out of battery somewhere where there is no power outlet!

Anyway, the iPhone is great at what it does and there are other reasons to want one (mainly the GUI). I just wouldn't use battery life as a reason or you're most likely going to be disappointed.

way off topic, but i have found with the storm battery that i get a longer life if i use the mini OEM charger, i connect it to my PC USB and i get well over a day worth of "average" (minimal media, some email, everything else the same) use.
i can get a full day of many, many emails, bbm, music, browsing, streaming baseball game audio from mlb.com mobile....

I would definitely switch. I love a lot of things about Blackberry but the Iphone is a great multimedia device too. When I was buying a phone last December the only reason I went with the Storm was because of call quality. AT&T does not have the better service and I really want a phone that will work when I call someone, not drop all the time and sound like crap. There were also some other issues I had with the iphone but they have since been rectified... so if Verizon did get the Iphone, I'd be all over it.

Umm, is there solid information that the Iphone is coming to Verizon? Because they said that a while ago before MacWorld and nothing came of it. Unless you have solid information on that, I wouldn't hold my breath.

No idea. Haven't really played with an iphone very much. My friend's looks really nice when I see him use it. I guess I would have to spend some time with it.

I got to play with an Iphone for the first time last week. I really didnt care for the GUI, and it took just as long to switch screens as my Storm does. I was expecting this thing to be amazing by all the talk I hear. Even when going through pictures, not only did they not transition from one to the next any faster than my Storm, the accelerometer wasnt any better. Although my Storm seems to run pretty good on .132, which is far better than the .75 from Verizon. I did like how thin the Iphone was though, just expected more from the OS.

then you step in dog stuff, and realize the neighbor is chasing you out of his yard with a shovel...and you realize you were just fine where you were...

Wow I get maybe 6 hours before my battery dies. That is because I use my phone I text I tweet I scroll I surf watch porn and make calls all at work not to baf considering the battery is rated about five and half hours for heavy usage.

WTF if you want an Iphone go buy an Iphone. If its that bloody important go an switch to AT&why me. It has the blessed Wifi anyway so you go to the local McDs or you own home broadband connection.

Then go an buy a 20 dollar flip somewhere so you will have a usable phone.

This conversation just confuses the h*ll out of me.
