I backed up my .83 software before installing .87 on my 9500 but after I installed it, it took me through the set up etc and then I went to the home screen and I'd lost all my settings.

My homescreen had been reset
My options had been reset
I have lost all my emails
I have lost all my SMS and MMS
I have lost all my contacts

Obviously I can just reinstall my .83 software but how do I resintall the .87 software without losing all my data?

restore the bcakup after you do the OS install and all should return... I would suggest following the step by step "How to upgrade a leaked OS" sticky on this forum... it will help you alot.

Oh never mind, I plugged it back into the DM manager and it automatically resotred all my data. Weird way of doing it though.
