to be honest. I don't know how to brick a phone if I tried. I followed the directions posted here and it is quite easy to update the OS. I think a lot of people here will agree.

Bricking your phone is a very slight chance. It can be fixed too. The leaks I think you'll like are either .99,.103..109. Either or it is worth it. You will notice a different phone then. If you have issues leave me a PM or BBM me on your phone. Pins on my avatar area. I'd be glad to help if you have problems. :-)

I just updated tonight and I had previously been on .75 since Dec 7. I can't tell you as of yet about the performance but I can tell you that upgrading is easy if you follow Don's instructions. The hardest part for me was backing up the 3rd party apps and being able to find the file on my PC!!! Once you remember to check "hidden files" in the search, it is a piece of cake!

No fear man go for it.

yeah, the only way you can brick your phone is by disconnecting your storm before the update is complete. just make sure not to disconnect at all, even if it looks frozen. i can promise you that you will NOT regret upgrading. its like a completely new phone!

.....and if even if you brick it, you will have backed everything up BEFORE you upgrade. Back up 3rd party apps as well.

I upgraded from .75 to .109 Friday morning with XP and fairly slow comp. Took about 45 minutes. No problems whatsoever. I had been on .75 since early December. Totally worth the time. FOLLOW INTSTRUCTIONS. Otherwise it gets to be a pain. I didn't even have to reload my 3rd party stuff as it was already there when done.
