Currently i have the black berry pearl flip through us cellular and i was wanting to upgrade to the blackberry storm 2. Us cellular dosent offer that phone but i was wondering if i could get an unlocked verizion one (or any other carrier that might work) and use it on us cellulars network. Us cellular does not use sim cards so i couldnt just switch it out.....

I believe that US Cellular is a CDMA carrier in which case, no, you wouldn't be able to use an unlocked Verizon Storm2 on US Cellular. This is for the same reason you can't take a Verizon Storm2 to Sprint.

ya it is a CDMA carrier. If verizion wouldnt work would an unlocked Storm from another CDMA carrier work?

I think u have to ask the telco to manually change all the cdma settings in s2 which is defaulted to vzw?

But whether your telco know how to change is a big issue..

From what I understand CDMA carriers will not enable devices from other networks.
That is strictly something that works with GSM carriers.

Unfortunately you are stuck using only phones offered by US Cellular.
