Ok so I bought an unlocked storm about two weeks ago. everything is great except for the annoying Activation Required message. I read on a couple of site on how to remove it such as finding the MSL but i continue to be unable to find the MSL. i also tried the ##000000 and ##111111. None of this works. at the top of my phone app, it says my number is 000 000 9854. Anybody know any idea to get the Activation Required removed and to change my number to my actual phone number? Thanks a lot

send it said invalid password
Is this a Verizon Storm? If so, then someone's messed with it big time besides just unlocking it.
To find the MSL, you'll probably need to use BitPM to get it.

i asked the guy i bought it from. he told me it was bought directly from rim... theres is no carrier logo anywhere on the phone. and no carrier files on the phone either...
You have to download two programs UniCDMA and HexWorkshop and then you have to find your Blackberry's MSL code. Contact me if you need more info...
i tried using unicdma and hexworkshop. all hte bins files failed. im guessing the starting point and length were incorrect or does anybody know about whis OS i should be running for tat to work?

Go into the Help Me screen. Hold ESC key and tap back and forth in a blank area on the main wallpaper screen on the left and right half of the screen. (Hold ESC and tap LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT of blank area on screen.) Tell us what the Carrier ID is and also if the PIN starts with 20. Also, when you turn it on, does it spash any kind of Carrier logo? Can you possibly take a video of it booting up and posting it?
BTW, you're probably not going to be able to activate this phone... it's probably already been blacklisted by RIM.
theere is no carrier logo just rim logo.

It says Vendor ID at the top. What's the number.

Oh yeah, I forgot that RIM branded phones automatically take you to the Engineering screen instead. Yep, that's definitely a RIM branded device. Take a video of the startup on it... I'm sure others would like to see that as well.

i just tried the UniCDMA and hexworkshop thing and i got a HUGE error. it took me to the BSOD and restarted my computer...
Try BitPim... there used to be a video a while back on YouTube on how to pull the MSL with it, but I couldn't find it for you.

Where yours comes up with the BB logo, Mine has a verizon logo
