Unlocked S2, ATT service books final answer?

I currently use the 9530, unlocked on ATT and flashed to MetroPCs. Yep, have two #'s on the phone (one for business, ATT and one for personal, MetroPCS). I actually like the phone. I've tinkered and twisted and hybrided this phone to near death and it still works up to its max... I love the phone.

Interested in buying an unlocked S2 and setting it up the same way so that I can get WiFi. However, it seems that, with ATT, there is this "service books go away after battery pull" issue. Has anybody fixed this? Is there some solution other than reloading service books after every battery pull/reboot?

Sorry if this has been answered in another thread, but I can't seem to find it.

doesn't appear to be a fix. And after 5-6 months of use, I lost my browser out of the blue. Stuck with Hotspot browser (Wifi only) or 3rd party.

I love this phone, but I am sick of the data issues and EDGE speeds. God, where is that Storm 3... I'll switch to Verizon for it.

I'm gonna try to mess around with the new service books on my 9800 and see if something can be copied over to fix this problem on the 9550.
