I just purchased an unlocked 9530. I went through all the necessary steps to set it up for use on my AT&T network. Everything works on the phone except for being able to call out or receive calls. Does anyone know how I can rectify this issue?

I followed all the instructions and I can send/receive sms, mms and use the browser. I have the edge icon and the network is AT&T. When I attempt to place a call, I get a "congestion" message. When someone calls in, they get my voicemail. This is the only feature that is not functioning properly.

I found this old post and maybe it will help you. It indicated that if the phone was set to 3G only calls would not go through, but if set to 2G & 3G calls worked.

You may also want to try another OS if this does not help.

You can wipe it with several tools (BBSAK or jlcmdr) if you wish, but the install does a wipe. The following link will provide you with directions on how to load an OS. As for actual operating systems to install, there are many. You may want to start with the latest official OS. Do a search and you should find some. You will need to download it to your PC and then install it before you do the installation process. If you have trouble finding an OS, post back.
