Hi guys,

Recently got a Storm 2 (9520 as per About on the phone) on contract with O2 UK. It is currently running V5.0.0.553, I have been trying to update to the latest from the thread on this forum.

I downloaded and installed the DRM version, removed the Vendor file and tried to run both the Loader within Common Files and the update from Desktop Manager, but both say this update isn't avaliable for my phone?

Anyone any ideas what I could be doing wrong?

1. Un-install any older versions of firmware from your PC.
2. Install the new one on the PC.

You should see it installed in the following path....

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9520AllLang_v5.0.0.713_P4.2.0.323

3. Go back 2 folders to the 'Research in Motion ' folder.
4. Go into the 'Apploader' folder
5. DELETE the file entitled 'vendor.xml'
6. Click on the file entitled 'loader.exe'

Which would you say download... DRM or non-DRM?

non DRM for O2

I recommend You go for the .741 from Starhub which is is an All Language. If You only need english there is also the .741 from M1.
