i've had it at 10 since day 1.
I hate the auto-backlight dimming though, so I turned that off. Yes, it wastes a little battery life, but I hate it when the screen dims while I'm looking at it.
I have mine set to 10% and it's more then enuf for me. I also have the auto dim set to on. Definitely helps on battery life compared to a higher percentage.
Thanks BBnoobie76. I set mine to 10 and it looks fine in a fairly dimly lit room. I have a feeling the I am going to have to increase it in the car & outdoors though.

You'd be surprised. It actually works fine outside (at least for me).

You should be fine with it at 10... it might be dimmed. Try turning off the auto dim backlight. At first i thought it was too low, but when I turned off the auto dim backlight it was fine.
I set mine to 20% and it was a bit bright. I set it to 10% and it seeks ok. But if there is a bright light source the screen automatically gets brighter

I have mine set to 100...I know I don't need it..but I feel like I'm cheating myself if I put it at anything less. Does anyone else feel like this?
Sorry but the only thing you're cheating yourself is extra battery which could be much needed.
I originally had it at 100 and my gf complained that it was too bright. I personally didnt notice the brightness being too bright. I then lowered it to about 20% and it was more to my liking as well as my gfs. I lowered it even more to 10% and its still bright enough for me.
