I don't have a Palm Pilot but was wondering if the Palm Desktop software would sync with Outlook (if you have it). Or if you can use Google Sync. Just thoughts...as I don't have a Palm Pilot this is the best I have to offer.

    Good luck!

I transferred contacts from my Treo successfully through Blackberry Desktop Manager.
One hitch: I actually had to DOWNGRADE my Palm Desktop software from 4.2 to 4.1.4 because of compatibility issues between the two programs. BB Desktop manager will not recognize every version of the Palm software.
    Hope that helps some.

I have been in the habit of keeping an ascii backup since my first Palm many years ago. This has kept me safe fr
Many years and it synchronizes with bb.

Export your contacts from the Palm desktop as a Vcard file, then import to your Yahoo mail (if you have it-if not it is worth it just for this purpose), then confiugre DM to sync to the Yahoo mail accout. This is how I did it. It was very quick and painless.

Why oh why is this in the subforum for BETA OSs?

Sync your Palm with Outlook and then sync Outlook with your new BB.

I did this too (as you can see in the sig below) and there really is only one way.... you do need to use Outlook as the intermediary tool to get your TX contacts into the BB world.

Frustrating that it doesn't work directly but the Outlook method does work.

    Good luck
