if only they added a trackball to the storm... just a little extra to help ease the navigation/link selection! then the phone would have been alot better what do you guys think???
no thanks... a ton of BB users love there trackballs but along with it being a trackball the technology gets dated and they have problems like collecting dust cleaning etc..
Think about when they removed balls from computer mice. at first it wasn't fantastic but now the laser technology destroys anything that ball mouse did.
cleaning those things were a real PITA though worse then the trackballs on BB's
anyway I doubt trackballs will be removed from the devices for a while but over time they will get replaced without a doubt.
i mean really...... how much easier could it get. its a ****ing touch screen. all you have to do is touch where you want to go. are you to lazy to touch it, and you just want to roll around. buy another phone, cause this is just not for you.
Other than for blind fanboy love, there's no good reason NOT to have a trackball. Sans the ipod, most of the top phones have some sort of directional pad.
hey - how about someone create an ap that can be turned on and off - that maps the volume (up down) and right and left keys to work like a d pad?? Is that too Windows Mobile of me asking for custom software?
You know how we are given the option to use mode cursor. Well would it now be great to have the option of simulated tack ball mode? Think about it to use the touch screen as is if it were a big trackball.

thats more along the lines of what I was thinking for future things think about a trackpad on a laptop.. same concept really and works well once you get used to it. and you dont have to clean the dust out =)
Nope, don't want it. My Blackberry Curve 8330 trackball stop moving down after only 3 weeks of having it. (It was purchased new). Had to look online to see you could fix it by just popping off the silver ring and just cleaning it, but it was annoying none the less.
