I did a quick seach on google. Try this.
Here are details on how to pair a TomTom 730 (and probably others) with a Verizon Curve for data. Traffic/weather, etc works, SMS,MMS does not. Handfree does.
You need to order data tethering from Verizon (15/month?)
On the TomTom, select to setup Data.
Select US, BB 8100, Cingular as carrier.
It will fail and ask if you wish to config manually - select yes.
Set the access point name as vzw.
Set the username as (i.e. )
Set the password as vzw
Set the dial# to #777
Set the dialing/login script as blank (clear it out)
It should work.
The only issue is that once you use the data, it will stay connected until you disconnect it. Once it requires data again (traffic update, etc), it will reconnect. While connected, you can receive SMS and phone calls, but no data on the BB. To disconnect, the easiest way is on the TomTom to click on Mobile Phone -> Manage phones -> BlackBerry 8830. That will "reset" the bluetooth connection, dropping data until it is needed again. You could disable wireless data, then click on the BB 8830 to reset it and it will not re-initiate until you enable wireless data.
Good luck.
Cool I'll give it a try..... You think it would kill Verizon or TomTom to make it easy... :)
