Went into Desktop Manager at 10:05 Pacific time and it updated my Storm to .148. Took about 25 minutes.
Are you quite sure that you didn't already have the .148 leak installed on your computer? Verizon hasn't even updated their website yet, and DM isn't showing updates.
can someone please explain to me the difference between updating using DM, OTA, and the computer download?
advantages/ease/disadvantages of each.
i'm not very skilled with my phone haha
THANKS
Basically there are 3 ways to download, 2 of them involve first downloading the update to the computer. It use to be that we updated with Desktop Manager, but now most people go to C:/programs/common files/Reasearch In Motion/Apploader. Then you use the apploader to update. However if you choose you can launch DM and it will update for you.
The OTA is probably the easiest way, on your phone you would go to Options/Advanced Options/Update. The phone will let you know if an update is available and update automatically for you.
Don't know if your kidding or not but trust me, those of us with .148 are not going to downgrade and upgrade again. It's the same darn OS how many times do we have to say that. And having said that so many times why would we attempt to upgrade to it again?
