the autofocus is SLOW but what i have found is put your finger on the camera button youll see it auto focus.. it can take anywhere from a second ( outside ) to a painstaking 3-5 seconds ( inside with flash ) to focus. once its focused ( green box in your picture ) click down on the camera button.. itll take pictures like these
