does anyone know of a FREE tip calculator out there???
"Geotip is a very simple application which will help you calculate your tip and divide or split the bill to the number of people present. You can choose configure tax, tip percentage and the number of people you want to split the bill."
Blackberry Freeware - Free Software: Blackberry Restaurant Bill and Tip Calculator
Yeah, try the software sub-forum.
Its free and you already have it. Applications>calculator. Total bill divided by the number of diners. Multiply by the tip percentage you would like to leave.

Sure, u can use the regular calc. But I'd rather not have to do ten computations to just flip a few bucks (I'm exaggerating, but you get what I mean).
SaneinOne, I'm going to give Geotip a looksie. Thanks.

i was thinking of doing a free one that had a feature i notice the other ones dont have, tell me waht you guys would think of something like this:
instead of entering the total bill and the number of people, this will let you enter what each person got, then it will give you the total tip and the equal split tip per person OR what the persons share of the tip was. Plus the share of that person tax.
the reason i wanted to make this is because this is the bigger problem i always have. everyone has to figure out their part of the bill and people end up paying too little or too much cause they dont calculate the right tip and tax for their stuff.
Just double the tax
I gave you the total number of computations already-2. The point is that the amount of data input into an app for this purpose is equal to or less than the input into the calculator. So why do we need an app (unique features aside...maybe some server somewhere would be all for "randomtip").
