The storm is offically here.....and many of you are reading review that have made you apprehensive.....take a deep breath and relax....for I am here to bring up all the assurring points so you can rest easy....
For all educated consumers, here is why you can't go wrong with a storm....
Firstly, You must want a TOUCH SCREEN DEVICE....if you don't start looking else where....otherwise you can rest easy desite the reviews ....
1 -- Its from RIM (THE BEST IN THE BIZ)
2 -- Its on Verizon (THE BEST IN THE BIZ)
3 -- Rim updates software and any bugs quickly and easlily (better than any1)
4 -- Wifi (prob added via the memory card , if you need it)
5 -- apps will be a coming fast and furious
6-- No other touch screen device can compare (overall)
7-- Storm has the best total package (screen, user, software, hardward, etc)
8 -- when has any phone (esp. advanced models like a touch screen ) gotten a rave review....I really can't think of any phones that get rave reviews ....
the curve is a great phone with great reviews ., but also a simple phone...
simple phones get great reviews....
9 -- anyone trying to make advanced products gets penalized for what the didn't do , instead of what they did do ..
10 -- find me one phone/touchscreen model that can compare today, or even in 2009...
SO , REST ASSURE STORM USERS YOU HAVE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION...
AFTER 7 TREOS, BECAUSE OF THE BUGS, I HAVE MADE THE RIGHT MOVE TO THE STORM AND SO HAVE YOU .....
1. Yes
2. Yes
3. 1) I want RIM to fix the lag and other glitches. 2) Then I want them to address usability issues such as lack of accelerated scrolling and lack of pinching. I expect 1 but doubt 2.
4. Don't hold your breath.
5. Don't hold your breath.
6. Hmm… if you don’t need reliable push email, there are plenty of phones that compare.
7. Remains to be seen
8. If I remember, ppl were gah gah over the Tilt.
9. Apple was penalized? Don't think so buddy.
10. iPhone. Xv6800 maybe. Tilt.
RIM has the best messaging. That's why I gave up my win mobile phone for the curve. But putting RIM's messaging into a glitchy, awkward phone doesn't make the phone the best.
I know they exist, but.. I don't know if it will fit inside the phone.
It is not thicker but about twice as long as a normal SD micro card.
Would be splendid if it worked, the only thing we'd need then is drivers for blackberry OS

Compare how? Which one? If you don't need reliable email - buy an ipod touch...

Initial iphone reviews were mezmerized by Apple smoke and mirror advertising - you obviously don't know anyone who has an Apple product who is being truthful.
Ask NY Times best seller Jim Norton what he thinks of his iphone.

Glitchy and awkward? Are you psychic? THE PHONE HASN'T BEEN RELEASED YET!!!
welll.... his number 10 is going to bring flames for sure
also I did know that cards exist to add wifi however I will warn you that they rarely work as good as internal wifi as far as reception go's the speed is fantastic though.
We put a sd card in a pocket pc for wifi one time and it worked this is probably like 5 years ago so it was buggy but hey it worked.
but number 10 is going to be a huge argument for a ton of people because I honestly don't think the iPhone is going anywhere in 2009 with it going into walmart there will be even more of them out there.
I do agree with the op that people get so worried about reviews before they even put there hands on it.
