    to tell if your storm is unlocked? Was reading a thread on unlocking the phone and curiosity got the better of me.

    nobody knows how to tell if its unlocked to work on diff networks, etc.?

    There must be a way to see if someone has unlocked the phone already.

    I'm guessing if you place a SIM card in there from another carrier, you'll know!

    Yes...

    Or if you bought it new.. Call Verizon since your on their network...

    If not they will unlock it for you for free...

    1. Go to Options
    2. Select Advanced Options
    3. Select SIM Card
    4. Hit menu select show keybord
    5. Enter mepd (you will not be able to see the typed info)

    "Network Inactive" means it is unlocked
    "Network Active" means it is locked
