I have been sending messages via the menu button but I was wondering if there is a shortcut on the keyboard.

    Thanks in advance.

A suggestion that takes all steps out of texting is quicklaunch. U can set it up so all u have to do is hit one button...type text and send. Its the only app I've ever paid for.

If you are willing to purchase an app for a few bucks, then there are a few that work great for quickly sending text messages. I use QuickText and QuickLaunch. Both are excellent apps to create a very quick way to text, and are well worth it.

(QuickLaunch will create shortcuts for speed dial, and just about anything else you want too)

(QuickText is a dedicated texting app to text anyone you want)

I agree with Red - Quicklaunch is a superb application. Not just for launching an SMS to a specific person, but so much more!
