I heard once you can call your provider and possibly pay to have a number blocked but thats probably about the only way.

on another note, if you don't want to hear the call a cheap work around would be to create a custom ringtone for that number that is completely silent with no notification.

granted it will still show up as a missed call but its free and easy to do.

Youmail allows them to be blocked pushing them to Ditch Mail.

Pretty cool way of dealing with folks you don't want to talk to. Nice thing about this service is that it is FREE.

This application throws the caller straight into your voicemail without even having your phone ring: Antair. This application is a bit steep at $50, but version 2.0.3 works on the Storm (I have it).

Edit 2/7/09: Antair V2.0.3 does NOT work on a Storm 9530 (4.7.0.99). See my post below.

I've been using YouMail (YouMail ) Voicemail You Love) for a while now with VyMail (joekrill.com - VyMail - YouMail application for Blackberry devices) - an excellent combination and both free.

As a previous poster said, you set up 'DitchMail' (within YouMail) with the offenders phone number - when they call, your phone will ring, but then when they get to your VM, it will play a message and hang up on them - not allowing them to leave a message.

    Enjoy!

I just started using youmail with the vymail. I love it. I ended
Up canceling visual voice mail. I dl'ed the new youmail
Visual voice mail app. I hope they update it for the storm.

Yeah I know someone who had numbers blocked on Sprint for free, it shouldn't be a charged service. I'm sure a little haggling with the right customer service rep can get you setup.

Ok - so evidently my statement above re: Antair V2.0.3 is incorrect. The numbers do not always get blocked - I'm finding that 1 out of 3 are being successfully blocked (by testing).

Occasionally Antair 2.0.3 throws an exception. I removed it from my storm.

I did email Antair and they told me they are working on a version for the Storm.

(The reason that I thought the number that had been bothering me was blocked is that I had previously set a silent ring tone on it. I also had my YouMail sending the caller to DitchMail - Apologies for the inaccurate info earlier).

I use iCall Manager Lite and it works like a charm. You will have to reboot your phone after installing it before it will work. When unwanted calls come in, my phone doesn't ring, buzz, light up, or anything. However, the unwanted caller does get forwarded straight to voicemail. I've never used Youmail, but if it works like you all say it does, it would be a powerful compliment to iCall Manager!!!
