I'm going to be in Europe with my Storm 2 and have set up with Verizon for gsm service. I have a plan that's $69.95 a month (prorated) that provides voice for $0.99 a minute and unlimited data.
I would like to tether my laptop and use the phone as a modem. I asked someone in a Verizon store about tethering and they indicated it could be done but was VERY expensive. I called Verizon and the person I spoke to said tethering wasn't possible with the Storm 2 - and that only the 'tour' (I think it was the Tour) was capble of tethering in Europe.
Why would tethering in Europe be any different than tethering in the US? Has anyone ever tried this?
