When tethered using vzaccess and you get a call on your storm, does it throttle back your data connection like on my 8830?

I read it does voice + internet but it didn't specifically mention tethering.

If your phone is running under 3G speeds (1XEV) then voice and data transmission is not capable at the same time. It may have been a certain feature of the 8830, but it is possible it was switching to 1X when a call came in, which is a much slower data speed) As far as I am aware though, most devices are supposed to suspend the data connection while on voice.

I tether my storm and yes it does stop data transfer while on a call. But resumes once call has ended no need to reconnect.

Someone Correct me if I'm wrong?

On the 9500 -- This is possible, but I'm not sure if it slows down your data

    On the 9530 -- Can't do this.

Not sure on the 9500 part, but this is feasible. 9500 is a GSM phone. GSM supports both data and voice at the same time. CDMA (1XEV) does not
