    How do i know if a SMS text has been read? If i sent a text out how do i know when it has been read? not delivered, READ?

    BBM does that because it is sent/recieved using data, not voice. SMS uses voice signal, and I'm sure there's some technical reason why...but simple answer is no.

    u can only tell if the person has same service as u. Version version. Can tell read hen they open it

    verizon only notifies that the message has been delivered when sent to other verizon phones. not read.

    What about if i use Google Voice as for my texting and not the carrier for texting. Can google voice lemme know when it has been opened?
