Hello. I just flew into San Diego, from Japan, and I will be for two months. I would like to pick up an unlocked Storm 2 but after reading how it will only connects to EDGE with AT&T, im not sure if it will have the same issues the 3G Towers in Japan.
I am currently using my Unlocked Bold 9000 with AT&T and im not having any issues but going back home with a Storm 2 would be great.

Any advice?

As far as I understand and know, in Japan both 2100Mhz and 800Mhz frequency bands for UMTS are used. Storm2 supports the former only, and if your carrier in Japan uses that then I see no problem.
