I am a longtime Storm1 user, had great luck with it. Went for the Storm2 upgrade for more memory and wifi. On the OS discussion, the latest appears to be .1015. Most people who have posted complain about it. My experience is that happy people are quiet. Should I just upgrade it to .1015 when I get it? Dont know what it will have out of the box.

.517 is the most stable and bug-less OS.

.1015 is hit-or-miss, but don't use it if you want games that require OpenGL as .983 and .1015 apparently have OpenGL broken; and bedside mode doesn't work out of the box if using a wall charger or charging pod. There is a fix for it on the forums.

Starting with .607 there's a bug with Opera Mini in which the device must be rotated after using the keyboard to make the screen cover the white area where the keyboard was, also some users have issues with the keyboard in BBM groups.

.713 introduced a "robotic voice" distortion on phone calls when both parties speak at the same time while using the handset (Bluetooth is ok) but appears to have been corrected in .983 and .1015.

Agreed. Although, I don't see .1015 or any of the others being faster/slower. They all seem about the same to me, as long as everything works.

I have 713 and the robo voice is rarely an issue. Fssster than previous OSes and relatively stable and bug free.

.1015 is on mine now and works OK for a storm. I had a 9530 That Verizon was replacing, and I got this. Do got to love the typing on the 9550. The opera bug is the most annoying thing so far.
Cut/copy still screwy too.
Got to love to type on the thing I'm faster on this than my laptop.

I use a corvett theme with my wallpaper and the wallpaper shows on all screens as the background. On my storm 9530 It started showing the wallpaper as background on all screens with .419.
.1015 Is the same way. It Is one thing that I actually love about my storms.
