Not true, I was able to get an unlocked code from Verizon right after I bought the storm. I just call the Verizon customer service and said that I'm going out of country and was was told that I could get it unlocked to avoid roaming fee when I signed up to buy this phone and they get me the unlock code instantly no question ask. You should try that. I didn't even wait for 2 month like most people have stated on crackberry.
i don't know i just called them and that what they said i must be with verizon for 2 months, and no late payments on the first 2 bills and then they could give me the code, at first the were saying that i can't be unlock but then that i must have 2 months with them, i told the the same i'm leaving the country for a week and i have another sim which i want to use it work with at&t right away and it's true i'm going on vacation
I called them and they just gave me a pin to unlocked the phone. Now I'm running both T-mobile and Verizon on my storm. Just take like 3 second everytime I wantto switch which network I want to use.
I just paid $15 on eBay for an unlock code so I can let you know what happens with that if you want. Says it may take up to 24HRs for the code. I hope it works
