First of all, thanks for all the helpful postings and information on this site.

I got my first Blackberry (a Storm) a month ago... Took some getting use to, but I love this thing!! I went thru the postings but still have a few questions.

Hopefully you all can help me out. I bought my Storm from Telus: version v4.7.0.76 (Platform 4.0.0.96) and BB Desktop Manager 4.7

1. Opera mini:
1.1 Is there an official (or even a beta version) for the Storm.
1.2 If no, which version of opera should I try to install
- Advanced MIDP 2?
- I tried via my phone and was unsuccesful (the SMS link was never sent)
- Via the BB DM4.7, it didn't recognize the jad/jad, it was searching for .alx
- So I installed the latest version for the BB, but it didn't work too well with the storm

Any advice?

2. OS upgrade.
Which is the most 'stable' of the leaked version. Is the 4.7.0.85 the best alternative right now.

1. There is an Opera Mini 4.2 that is for the Storm. Go to www.operamini.com on your Storm and follow the instructions.

2. So far .86 looks pretty good. Don't forget to delete the vendor.xml file as this update is for verizon.

Hello,

I went to the website on my mobile and got the following message under the first line Opera Mini 4.2

'Your phone model could not be detected'

So I dowloaded the generic version but it does not work too well.

Is this the version for the strom you were referring to.
