I have noticed that when I plug the Storm in to get powered, it becomes somewhat un-responsive. Some of the buttons, work, but the click-screen doesn't work. When I unplug it, I still have the same problem. Only way to fix it is to pull the battery.
That sounds like a problem, it's not normal. I'd wipe it and install everything from scratch if I were you. If it still does it, it could be a hardware issue somewhere in the power system.
If it still does it after a wipe, I'd swap it out for a new one. That is not normal at all.
I should probably do some testing to find out if this problem I am having is just with a power adapter I bought through ebay. I don't recall if I was having the same problem with the power adapter that came with the Storm
I've noticed that the Storm behaves like this (unresponsive when charging) when the current output of the charger is too high. The charger included with the Storm outputs 700mA and a Verizon one I have outputs 800mA. Both are fine for me.
See if your ebay charger is providing something over 1A.
I have the same problem with an after market charger from ebay but not the original charger. The one I have says 800MA Input 100-240 200ma
I stopped using it.
What do you think?

Is 200mA your output current? If so, that seems a bit low, as a powered USB port gives 500mA.
Edit: also make sure that the chargers are outputting 5V (USB spec).
plug? I don't understand what you mean. The plug from the charger to the wall should be a standard two-prong ungrounded (two flat blades, one might be wider than the other). The plug from the charger to the phone should be a micro-usb male shaped like a trapezoid.
It is standard. What I meant was that I had the wall charger plugged into a extension strip with additional outlets as opposed to plugging it in the wall directly.
I just got a charger from Hand held items (it was cheap!) When I plugged in my Storm yesterday I couldn't click any of the buttons either. And even when I unplugged the Storm I couldn't push anything until I did a battery pull.
This is then info on the charger:
Travel charger
Model: T-MO-9V-BH
INPUT: 110-220V 50-60Hz
OUTPUT: 5V = 500mA
My biggest question is can this do damage to my phone?
did your phone come with a bluetooth that has the same type of charger plug? make sre that if it did you are not using the bluetooth charger to charge your blackberry. i did that and ddnt realize it and it happened to me , unresponsive and slow to charge

It's not a bluetooth charger. It's a travel charger that I got online. Not from Verizon or RIM.

I bought the same one from them and it is doing the same thing.
Anyway, who has bought an inexpensive charger that works, and from whom?
I bought one from celldepot and they did replace the first one. The 2nd one won't work either. I have no clue why these aftermarket ones just do not work.'

I bought mine from Emaxland the first one did the same exact thing i emailed them and they said its probably defective so they sent me a new one. I just got the new one and its doing the same thing...
They sent me a LG VX9100 charger
Output 5v - 500mhA
