Has anyone who have gotten the storm used Agendus ? If so does it work?
Never heard of the software before but, I just looked it up. Looks very promising.
One of the things that really surprised and disappointed me when I got my color Palm Treo was that I couldn't make different appointments in the calendar different colors (make important appointments Red, recurring appointments Green, etc). Looks like this would do it.
I like that it uses the existing databases instead of reinventing the wheel.
I downloaded trial version...look great BUT the key board pops up and you get rid of it
Go to optoins> advanced optoins> aplications highlight it hit the blackberry button and select turn off compatibilty mode. That should get rid of the keyboard
Thank you for the info...the keypad is gone....let me what it does.
It takes forever to retrieve weather etc...am I do something wrong
Making the changes with the compatability mode did NOT take away the keyboard. I also cannot get it to use landscape mode either.
Any ideas?
I used Agendus for years with my Palm and I do miss it so I hope I can get it to work.
edit...battery pull did the trick. Thanks for the helpful tip. It works in landscape now too. Woohoo...I am cooking now.
Just got my Storm today and one of the first things I did was install the trial of Agendus. I had it for my Clie TH55 and loved it.
Did the 'compatibility mode' thing and all is working fine. Set my left side key to automatically start Agendus so it's easy to access.
Will definitely be buying this.
Question: Does Agendus for BB have the availability of icons in the month view?
I am a long time DateBk 5 user on Palm, this is one of my favorite views. I have recently made the switch to BB Storm. Agendus seems like the closest thing to DateBk 5 that is available for Blackberry.
Thanks!
Check out the thread "Agendus (and other Task/PIM apps) for Storm".

Appreciate the reply, and I have read the extensive reviews (which are likewise appreciated).......but I haven't found an answer to my original question: is there the availability of icons in the month view, similar to DateBk5 /6 Palm version??
If this was answered elsewhere and I simply missed it, apologies - just that month view with icons is the one I use the most and won't buy this program without it.
Thanks again!
Not sure what icons you were looking for, but I checked my Month view and can't see any. There is an underline under the date when viewing the month in a calendar format, but it doesn't mean anything - all the dates have underlines, where there are any appointments that day or not. Sorry.
Mind you, I wasn't displaying Tasks, just Appointments, but I don't think there are any icons for Tasks either.

That answers my question. If you look at Pimlico's DateBk 5 or 6 application for Palm, icons can be incorporated into all the views - for example comb and scissors for haircut, heart for Valentine's day, dollar sign for payday, etc etc etc. There are icon sets of literally thousands of icons, or the user can make up their own.
These are really handy in the month and week view, to get a quick overview of what is coming up - use them all the time. Much better than just a little dot or line that indicates "something" is scheduled that day.
Hopefully Pimlico will develop this app for Blackberry, or Agendus will be modified to include it. While I do enjoy my BB Storm I miss the DateBk app from Palm days.
