I got my Storm 9550 about 6 months' ago. I use its music player to play songs downloaded through a Rhapsody account that I activated before I got the Storm. Unfortunately the music skips every 20-30 seconds, not all the time but often enough to be really annoying. The skipping continues even when I close all other applications and close network connections. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thank you.

My music player occasionally does that a second or two after it starts playing. I haven't had it happen beyond the first few seconds (except when an email message is announced, which is normal). I just start the song over again and everything is fine. I don't know what causes it.

Edit: I still use the .428 OS.

I just upgraded to 517, but the same thing was happening with 428.

All of the music is saved on the SD card that came with the phone - could it be that the card is somehow responsible (maybe "too slow")?
