I have a 9530 that is unlocked, that I am trying to use in Colombia, South America. It shows I have a signal, but there is that red triangle at the top of the screen, showing that I have no service. I know it is unlocked because everything says security disabled... I also changed the phone number to the SIM phone number, but still am getting nothing... Any ideas...

Sorry, I meant to say the red triangle shows I am roaming, but I still have no service even on the Comcel network (the network with the SIM card I have). Do I have to change any other settings IMEI or HEX?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated...

I assume that is a GSM network. Be sure that on the phone under Options>Mobile Network that Network Technology is set to GSM/UMTS

I put it on GLOBAL- in this it will function with either in that setting, but I will try changing it. Thanks for the advice...

That did it. Now I am getting SIM card rejected though... but there are lots of threads on this...
