    When I hit the voice dial button on the side of the phone, I briefly see a screen that says the following:

    Initializing; please wait...
    .
    .
    .
    2009 Nuance Communication Inc.

    This screen lasts for only a fraction of one second, then another similar white screen replaces it saying:

    --------------------------------
    Voice Dialing
    Scanning Contacts; please wait...
    --------------------------------

    This screen has a blue status bar that fills up rapidly until it reaches the 50% value, then the voice dialing program just stops. I am completely unable to make voice dialing activate. This event happens when I use my earpiece as well, but since I am having the issue with just the phone, I know the problem isn't on the bluetooth side.

    Additional Information:
    1.) I have 129 entries in my contact list.
    2.) BlackBerry 9530, v5.0.0.328 (Platform 4.2.0.128)
    3.) Nuance VSuite, Version 3.2 b1

    Please, how can I fix this error? Thank you for your time.

    you could try rebuilding your contacts database - enter the contacts app, and type 3?"5
