Just trying to upgrade from the standard OS to a better one. The guy at the VZ store said its easy, but im mildly slow...can anyone assist. Ive already backed everything up in my Desktop mgr, but thats it. what next?

You need to download an OS, there are a few in my signature, and install it to your PC, THEN load it on with DM, or AppLoader. You will also find a good tutorial on upgrading in my sig. Check it all out and feel free to contact mew if you need help.

U can't install .131 on a 9530 storm. That's only for the 9500 or can u?

You can't load .131 on a 9530 in its entirety, only in hybrid form by taking .131's java files.
