There has been threads about this before but I never found an answer. Maybe somebody has found something I may have overlooked.

Whenever I plug my phone into my computer USB port it reboots the phone with a white screen thats says soemthing to the extent of "Unknown MTP Request".

    Troubleshooting Steps:
    Every USB Port does this
Power Settings have been disabled to all the USB Ports
    OS: Windows 7 64bit
Reloaded the OS using a different computer (not at my house)
    Wiped the device
Uninstalled Desktop Manager / Installed Desktop Manager
    Tried a different USB Cable

The only reason I am having this problem is because my original Storm had graphical issues after 2 years and had to be replaced. I have now gone through 3 like-new devices from Verizon ALL rebooting when plugged into the USB port.

    What else can I try?

I would like to add other relevant threads that contain more or less the same exact issue.

The Crackberry links need to be copy and pasted. For some reason they don't work.

Can anyone out there shed some light on the problem?
