I was looking to upgrade my storm 1 to a storm 2 today and was told that they have stopped doing them as they have been discontinued?
What do i do now... whats the next best blackberry...

EDIT: Have you tried to order online as they suggested in that link Yester posted? You could get a 9550 full retail (or a 9520 full retail) from another country, unlock it and use it. Or you can get a 9700, which is a sweet BB, but does not have touch, but it THE best keyboard BB out there. If you can hold out for a few months the 9800 slider is coming that has a touch screen AND a slide down (similar to the Palm Pre) keyboard. You could also switch to another platform if you want other good touch options, like Droid, and of course the (I know boo hiss) the iphone.

I phoned them today and also went into a vodafone store. They are not doing the storm 2 any more.

If I couldn't get the S2 I would probably jump ship to the Incredible or wait for the EVO. If you need a BB I would suggest the 9700, just my opinion though.

Yep - according to BBleaks another carrier has the S2 as EOL. In another story they say the slider is due out this summer.

Vodafone in the Netherlands still advertises and sells the Storm2.

Anyone buying/importing a 9520 and expecting it to work on CDMA is in for an unpleasant surprise. However, there is no reason an unlocked 9520 would not work on US GSM/UMTS (3G) networks, or you can buy a 9550 from VZW (still showing as always on the website).

My friend just got one two weeks ago. Storm1 is supposed to be discontinued.
