Ok so heres my setup
Phone: BB 9550 storm 2
Provider: Tmobile
other: No data plan

1st Issue
Help! i cant send MMS on my phone it says that "no MMS service record, message cannot be sent you will only be able to save draft."

Ive looked around heard it could be something to do with tzones and a Number i need put in my phone or something.

*i am able to send SMS fine.

2nd:

Anyone having any tips on updating? will my phone do OS updates when connected to the desktop manager? Any recommendations for which OS to use?

I'm not sure you will get upgrades pushed to your phone via OTA or Desktop Manager because you're not on Verizon. I could be wrong but the fact you're on a different network could be the root of your problems.
