Friend of mine saw an internal document that mentioned vcast on demand compatibility for both the niagra and storm 2 later in 09. Will ask him for screenshots.

Lol just kidding....but really...there's no way ...it wouldn't make since unless they were talking about a completely different OS. The capability of this phone is untapped...

Storm "2" is probably the 9520 which has been posted before. The third version is of course in the works. The Bold was in development for several years, as was the storm. Makes complete sense to keep that production pattern.
Yeah, I don't understand how anyone could think that nothing new is in the works. Electronics these days have a pretty short shelf life. These companies don't finish something and then just sit back for a year or two and THEN start developing the next one. RIM probably started working on the replacement for the Storm before the version we have even came out. It sucks that what we get is already outdated, but that's the way it goes. I would be shocked if RIM even planned on the first Storm having a life of more than a year. Can't keep up with the Jone's unless you keep on working on the next thing!
So to me, Storm 2 or Storm 3 is not news...it's obvious.
I knew most of you would be too ignorant to blow it off as a lie instead of giving it a chance. For the record its not the 9520. It would make sense for a second generation to come out. After all the current storm will be out for a year by then.

The storm isn't going anywhere for a long while. The current version that is. Start thinking Storm meets G1. It will not replace the current storm, only be sold along side it.

The voyager is still being sold lol, i had that phone from day one and im suprised its still being sold, man was upgrades on the voyager fun. V1 V3 V5 V7 V9 V11

Well then I guess Verizon made a typo. It clearly said storm 2.
I could def. see Storm 2 coming out for Christmas 2009. The Iphone seems to come out with a newish unit within a years time, so why not the storm. It would make me extremely jealous that other people had a better Storm than me, but I should be due for an upgrade when/if the Storm 3 comes out.

This makes a lot of sense. By then Apple will have the third gen iPhone out, so RIM is probably working on stepping up their game with the Storm 2 or whatever they end up calling it.
