Starting last night my phone signal says 1xev roaming. It shouldn't be since it never has at home. Have I turned something off? Do I need to change a setting? Phone, internet, sms, etc. are inop.
    Thank you in advance!

Mine did this while I was at a tennis tournament Sat, and my battery was dead in about 7 hours (normally get 24-48). Maybe a cell tower near your house is acting up.

Yep. I had a BB pearl before this one so I got very familiar with the battery pull. LOL. First thing I tried. Yeah, I'm gonna have to give em a call I suppose.
Thank you everyone for your help.

Even if the battery pull works you should still consider calling your carrier just to be clear on whats roaming on their network...Plus you said your storm never displayed roaming at home...Are you currently in the US?

*228 is only for CDMA carriers. By default (because of it's CDMA programming) the Storm will try to jump on VZW towers for service if you have anything other then GSM set for the radio. If you've on a GSM carrier in the US with a 9530, YOU NEED to have GSM picked as the radio technology, NOT 1XEV or Global.

I am experiencing a similar problem. Every time I do a battery pull my prl resets to 1... Is that normal with the storm? I have to *228 after every battery pull in order to get 1xEV while roaming. This really blows when I am roaming on non-Alltel towers. Any suggestions as to how to lock the prl? Thanks in advance
