I've had the Storm 1 since it came out but just died on me this past weekend. I was wondering should I invest on getting the Storm 2? or a different blackberry on Verizon? Any suggestions?

If you can live with the smaller screen, the Bold is a better option. The OS has fewer issues, has wifi like S2, twice the memory and is OS6 ready.

My S1 just died last weekend too, and Verizon let me upgrade early to S2 for only $50. So far, I'm loving it.

If you liked S1 you'll love S2...I say get it. I run the official .607 OS and it runs flawlessly. I know some have had issue with it, but I don't. I think S2 is the best device out right now. Unless you're totally into browsing and games.

S2 has 256MB of app memory, of which I had about 135 free. Bold has 512, and I have 316 free. Bold will have plenty of room for OS6.

so the storm 2 has more OS problems than the BOLD? Hopefully not as bad as the S1

I am sorry for the misread. I didnt realize you were talking about the 9650. When I read Bold I assumed the 9700, totally forgot the 9650 even came out.

My S2 is awesome. You should go to the store, play with everything and get whatever you like the most.

Because it has problems. The Storm2 problem thread doesn't have 2500 posts because it's "flawless".

If you stick with some of the leaked OS's it's a good device. The last 2 "officials" from VZW sucked.

i would go play with the s2, but i have not had any problems with mine, never froze or anything. i would reccomend it.

I like my storm 2 just fine. The bold is very nice thoguh now that it is on verizon.
