Does my Storm 2 has a bad speaker ? It seems from the design that it should have stereo speakers but only the botom one (the one next to the mike) seems to work when I play music or videos on the device

It looks like it was designed that way, but there is only one speaker (at the bottom)
Maybe Storm3 will have stereo speakers. That would be nice.

That the "handset" speaker, for phone use. It's not designed for loud operation, therefore closed when "speaker" mode is enabled.

I too thought the same thing when I got my 9550. Found out that the speaker at the top is used when using the speakerphone (I don't use speaker phone much when talking)

Like what has been said, nothing is wrong with your Storm.
